There was a really cute photo booth\/mirror, a hair braiding bar and a makeup desk, meaning there was plenty going on. There was so much glitz and sparkle, as well as some gorgeous floral dresses and tops. Last I remember, I was reflecting on 2016 with all my close friends, wondering what the year ahead had in store for me. 6 months later, I'm in the most important part of it so far!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E There's a lot to be done in the next 30 days, here's some of what I hope to achieve:\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Col\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDo the best I can in my A-Levels. This month, the most important exams of my life (so far) are starting. Granted, I am petrified, but at the same time, I remember that I can only do my best! With a bit of revision (okay, a lot of revision), hopefully I can do well enough to make myself proud and to move onto the next, more adult phase in my life!\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EFinish organising\/booking my upcoming holidays. This year, I've planned to go on two holidays after my exams have finished. Firstly, two friends and I are going to Amsterdam in July. This is only a short trip of 4 days, but it should hopefully be really fun, and I cant wait to see a completely new part of Europe! Secondly, in August, I'm heading to Thailand for two weeks, and on the second week my boyfriend is joining me and we're taking a short trip over to Vietnam, where we'll spend the rest of the month exploring! All the major flights and accommodation has been booked, but I'd like to make a list of things to do and places to see before I fly out, like a little sight-seeing checklist!\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMaintain my gym schedule. Over the past couple months, I've got back into weight training and have developed a nice little routine for my legs\/butt, upper body (biceps, triceps, back), core, and of course cardio! The habit has done some serious damage to my bank account, I mean, I honestly nearly bought a toothbrush the other day for the sake of the fact that it was burgundy coloured. (Tragic, \u0026nbsp;I know)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAnyway, I'm slowly accumulating a large amount of beauty-related products in my favourite colour, so I thought I'd do a little post to share my top 3!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E1. NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Copenhagen'. This was one of the first actual lip products that I ever bought, and I absolutely love it! The deep plum colour really compliments my cool-toned skin, and the application is SO smooth - it feels like putting liquid velvet on my lips! It feels quite lightweight and smells gorgeous, and although I had to build up some confidence to wear this darker shade I'd definitely recommend it, especially with a price tag of £5.50, it's an absolute steal.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E2. Dolce and Gabbana's 'Intense' eau de parfum. I'm a huge fan of designer brands (unfortunately my bank account isn't), and when I spotted the gorgeous opaque burgundy bottle with gold detailing, its safe to say I was in love. I ignored the price tag, sprayed some on my wrist, (which turned out to be a very expensive decision) and I absolutely LOVED the scent! I've only ever been into light and fruity perfumes, which is a big contrast to this which is a full-bodied, floral and slightly musky smell. Its my perfume reserved for evening-wear and when I want to feel super confident because I'd say it's quite bold, feminine and sexy. Not only is the perfume itself amazing, I literally cannot emphasise my obsession with the bottle! It's classic in its shape and timeless in colours, which along with everything else, I think justifies the slightly unfriendly price tag of £68 for a 50ml bottle.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E3. Velvet wash bag\/make-up bag from Flying Tiger. This little bag has been such a saviour, as I spend a lot of time going to and from my boyfriend's house and staying over, so packing little essentials has been hard without a proper bag to stick it all in. However, upon spotting this velveteen beauty, I found myself my newest and most practical accessory! It's super roomy and the leather detailing around the zip adds really nice depth to the texture of the bag. Plus, it was a MEGA steal at only £3! I really couldn't love it enough. Tiger as a store is an all-time favourite, and every time I walk past, I catch myself spending way too much time and money in there; I just love the quirky Danish styling of all the products! I'm definitely not ashamed to say that I spent a good couple hours sat on my bed, re-living the pure ecstasy that is Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, you name it, I was 7 again for that joyful evening. Well, that was until the guilt of looming A-Levels and prospective adulthood in general swallowed up my happiness like a Piranha Plant. (Sorry, too tempting.)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003EHowever, it got me thinking about what I actually enjoyed doing as a kid, and I realised that everything I enjoyed doing then, I still enjoy doing now? This meant that either I was a very mature child or am a reaalllyy immature almost-adult... (The latter is most likely, if I'm being completely honest with myself) Anyway, after the Nintendo DS incident, I wrote down some of my childhood hobbies and compared them to things I like to do in my spare time now, and this is what I came up with!\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Col\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cb\u003EReading.\u003C\/b\u003E As a young, chubby, carefree girl, I used to absolutely LOVE reading! Since the age of 2, my nose has always found its way into a book one way or another. According to my parents, I would 'read' books religiously and demand repeat performances of my current favourite novel, repeating words after them until I fell asleep. Although my parents obviously don't read to me anymore, one of my favourite ways to fall asleep is with the help of a good book. Unlike scrolling through Twitter or Instagram before bed, the right story stimulates and relaxes the mind. (I find phone screens before bed super harsh on my eyes.) I don't find myself having a lot of time to read as of current, mainly due to pressure from my English A-Level to obsessively study the same 4 books\/texts until I know them back to front. Hopefully this will change once exams are over (I cannot explain how excited I am for that day!) and I can happily indulge in the many worlds between the many pages of the many books that I shall read.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cb\u003EDancing. \u003C\/b\u003EMy parents were never pushy in terms of making me join every after-school club in the hope that I'd become the next child prodigy who could pirouette and play the violin at the same time, unlike a lot of parents I know now. They were generally chilled out and supported me in anything I showed interest in. It took me a couple years, but \u0026nbsp;I eventually figured out that I wanted to join a dance club. So, at the age of 9, I joined a street dance class at my local leisure centre. As a natural introvert, I initially found it hard to be the youngest in a class of somewhat experienced and talented dancers, but I tried my hardest to keep up and eventually it paid off! I stayed with the company till I was 16 and performed in several shows - which I loved endlessly! Although I don't dance there anymore, I never go a day without dancing in one way or another. I've been considering joining a salsa class after exams too - it looks like so much fun!\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cb\u003EPainting my nails. \u003C\/b\u003EAlong with many others, I followed the rise of YouTube in its growth during 2006. I would sit on my parents' computer and watch YouTubers like Ryan Higa create hilarious content which I would sit and watch for hours. However, as a young girl, I took a natural interest in the beauty side of videos. From here grew my obsession with nail art, inspired originally by bubzbeauty, who became one of my first favourable YouTubers! The achievable and colourful nature of nail art is what got me first interested, and I spent so much time observing and copying some beautiful designs (although they never turned out so beautiful on my nails...) onto my own little hands. I don't have as much flare in my nail polish choices now, I tend to stick to one colour, with a layer of glitter polish being the furthest I'll go.
